About the role
Title: Trade Finance Analyst Duration: 12 month contract, possibility of conversion Location: Downtown Toronto, onsite 5x a week for 2 months, followed by 2 weeks alternating between onsite and remote Hourly Rate: 25-27/hour depending on relative experience
Required Skills & Experience · 3+ years of Trade Finance Operations experience within a reputable financial institution. · Strong hands-on experience processing Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) and Demand Guarantees. · Understanding of Trade Finance products and ICC Rules (UCP600, URDG758, ISP98). · Experience working with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office. · Bachelor's degree · Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-based operations environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience · Canadian banking experience. · Experience using Trade360. · CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certification. · CSDG (Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees) certification.
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a high-performing Trade Finance Analyst to join the Trade Finance team of a leading financial institution on a 12- month contract with a strong possibility of full-time conversion. This is a net new position supporting business-as-usual operations, focused on processing Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) and Demand Guarantees for clients globally.
The successful candidate will become a subject matter expert, working closely with internal partners across Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Small Business Banking, and Retail Banking to ensure Trade Finance transactions are processed accurately and within service level agreements (SLAs).
