What You’ll Be Doing The Manager of Corporate Accounting will support the Director of Accounting and VP, Finance in managing the day-to-day operations of the finance function for the organization. This is a key leadership role within the finance team, ensuring financial statements are accurate, compliant with accounting standards, and delivered on time.

We’re looking for a collaborative, hands-on professional who enjoys being involved in the details, isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, and is eager to learn. Success in this role will come from a combination of technical capability, initiative, adaptability, and a genuine desire to contribute and gain new skills.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close: Support the complete accounting cycle: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, account reconciliations & compiling working papers Support the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, including year-end audit files and financial statement support for auditor review Support consistent application of accounting policies and internal controls across accounts and financial reporting activities Utilize systems for banking, payroll, fixed assets, or expense reporting

Accounting Operations: Ensure compliance with ASPE, HST/GST regulations, corporate taxation & other with CRA requirements Assist with external and internal audit and preparation of working papers Document internal controls, processes & procedures, company policies, and applicable accounting standards across day-to-day accounting activities Liaise with auditors, lawyers, CRA and other third parties Participate in the operating budget process

Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting processes and systems Lead or support ERP system upgrades and financial system projects Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA designation (CPA Canada) required or nearly complete 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian tax regulations Experience with CRA compliance, HST/GST filings, and payroll remittances Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., CSD, Concur, F9) and advanced excel skills Experience in manufacturing or distribution (preferred) Experience working in a multi-divisional and multi-branch environment (preferred)
