About the role
THE EMPLOYER Canadian arm of an international insurer Provides business insurance solutions in the commercial P&C space Market segments include manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, health services
THE POSITION Underwrite new and existing business Risk selection and analysis using logical, methodical underwriting tools Maintain excellent file documentation Work collaboratively with your peers both locally and across all regions Build and maintain strong relationships with partner brokers Highly technical with less focus on business development targets
MUST HAVES Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in commercial lines, including exposure to complex risks CIP Designation preferred Self-starter with strong time management skills Detail oriented and highly accurate Open mind with a teachable personality Excellent written and verbal communication skills
