Toronto, ON - Hybrid 3 days in office This position is tied to a project expected to kick off in September.
Salary Range: $59,300-$109,200 The actual salary for this role may vary based on the successful candidate's work location and other factors, including skills, education, experience, working conditions, and the local labour market.
Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst with a focus on FinOps to support cloud cost management, financial transparency, and operational accountability across technology and business teams. This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations, helping the organization make data-driven decisions around cloud investments. The successful candidate will support cloud spend forecasting, cost optimization, reporting, and financial planning across multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Guidewire.
Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for FinOps reporting and forecasting within the Technology Business Management function. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly cloud financials, including spend trends, forecasts, and budget variances. Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud teams to identify cost optimization opportunities and improve cloud spend visibility. Support project chargeback reporting and clearly communicate cloud cost allocations to business and technology stakeholders. Partner with senior technology and finance leaders during annual business planning and quarterly forecasting cycles. Review existing processes, systems, data, and reporting to recommend improvements and increase overall efficiency. Explore opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, or AI-enabled tools to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Required Experience and Skills 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, cloud cost management, technology finance, or a related area. Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Experience with cloud billing, pricing models, chargebacks, forecasting, and cost optimization techniques. Advanced Excel skills and strong comfort working with large data sets. Experience building dashboards and reporting using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, infrastructure, cloud, and business stakeholders.
