. THE OPPORTUNI TYAs Prairie HVAC/R integrates into IR Pros' broader operations, we are looking for an Manager, Accountingto take ownership of the Canadian finance function day to day. This person will work independently with minimal oversight, reporting to the CFO at IR Pros, and will currently have one direct report (an Office Administrator). As the Canadian operation grows, there is a genuine opportunity for this role to expand into building and leading a larger accounting tea m.This role requires someone who can hold their own under corporate scrutiny: proactive, competent, efficient and confident operating with a high degree of autonom
y. KEY RESPONSIBILIT IES• Maintain accurate financial recor ds.• Assist with month-end and year-end closi ng.• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss repor ts.• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accoun ts.• Code invoices and ensure payments are charged to the correct accoun ts.• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functio ns.• Reconcile bank accounts, deposits, payroll accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accoun ts.• Assist with customer account follow-up and collectio ns.• Help prepare tax forms and required financial documentati on.• Assist with audits by gathering reports, account information, and supporting documen ts.• Work with department managers and leadership to provide financial information and support cost-control effor ts.• Maintain knowledge of accounting practices, company procedures, and accounting software syste ms.• Perform other related duties as assign

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequirem ents• Post-secondary education, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related fi eld.• 3-4+ years of related accounting experie nce.• Leadership experience is a m ust.• Experience in HVAC, industrial refrigeration, construction, mechanical services, job costing, or project-based accounting is a p
lus. Skills and Abil ities• Strong attention to detail and accu racy.• Strong organizational and time-management sk ills.• Good written and verbal communication sk ills.• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving sk ills.• Knowledge of general accounting and cost accoun ting.• Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting pract ices.• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially E xcel.• Experience with accounting soft ware.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadl ines.• Ability to handle confidential information profession ally.• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team.• An upbeat, team-first atti tude.• Strong knowledge of Canadian and Manitoba tax legislation as it relates to business operations, including GST, PST, payroll remittances, and regulatory compl
