About the Role Our consulting client is seeking an experienced IBM Planning Analytics Developer to design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and efficient TM1 and Planning Analytics solutions across Finance functions. The successful candidate will develop and support Planning Analytics models, cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, Turbo Integrator processes, cube rules, feeders, and advanced user interfaces in Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel. This role requires strong financial modelling knowledge, hands-on experience with large finance data sets, and the ability to develop creative solutions for complex business requirements.

Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and efficient TM1 and Planning Analytics solutions across Finance functions. Develop and support TM1 and Planning Analytics models, cubes, dimensions, and hierarchies within an iterative development environment. Develop complex Turbo Integrator processes, cube rules, and feeders. Build advanced and dynamic Planning Analytics user interfaces using Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel. Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that accelerate cycle times and eliminate cumbersome manual processes. Follow established technical software development processes and industry best practices. Adapt effectively while working with team members of varying experience levels. Ensure the operating efficiency and performance of existing application systems. Maintain documentation related to system development, enhancements, and revisions. Analyze organizational needs and business goals to support the development and implementation of application systems. Work with large financial data sets and implement parallel processing approaches to optimize performance. Develop and troubleshoot database integrations and SQL queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience building models with industry-leading Enterprise Performance Management technologies such as TM1, IBM Planning Analytics, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, or Adaptive Planning. Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cognos TM1 and Planning Analytics. Advanced knowledge of multidimensional modelling, dimensions, hierarchies, cubes, Turbo Integrator processes, cube rules, feeders, Active Forms, Websheets, and MDX. Experience with Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Excel. Expert-level Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets financial modelling skills. Hands-on knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis, forecasting, cost allocations, financial consolidation, and related finance processes. Ability to apply innovation and advanced technical expertise to complex business requirements within the Planning Analytics product set. Strong problem-solving, solution design, analytical, and creative thinking skills. Experience working with large finance data sets. Experience implementing parallel processing to optimize application performance. Familiarity with database development and SQL queries.

Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting Finance Transformation initiatives. Experience with Python, TM1Py, REST APIs, VBA, Java, or .NET. IBM Planning Analytics or Cognos TM1 certification. Knowledge of finance or accounting principles.
