Senior Financial Analyst Employment Type: Full-Time Location: North York, ON (On-Site) Salary: $85,000–$95,000 Industry: Retail

About the Opportunity Our client is a multi-billion dollar retailer with a national footprint and a publicly traded finance function. This Senior Financial Analyst role is a step up in ownership and scope, built for someone ready to move beyond execution into higher-responsibility financial reporting and analysis. You'll work directly with the Controller as their right hand, taking on external reporting, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation within a large, complex reporting environment. It's a genuine growth seat: more ownership, more exposure to technical accounting judgment, and a credible path toward a Manager-level role over time.

Key Responsibilities Own preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and specific P&L/balance sheet accounts through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Contribute to financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and consolidations under IFRS Conduct variance analysis and prepare commentary for the Controller's review Support external audit and regulatory filing requirements Partner directly with the Controller on GL review and management reporting

What You Bring 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or industry) CPA designation preferred; candidates near completion will be considered Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Working knowledge of IFRS Strong communicator, comfortable presenting analysis to senior stakeholders Comfortable working full-time, five days a week on-site

Nice to Have Consolidations experience, including intercompany eliminations Exposure to MD&A disclosures and regulatory filing working papers Public accounting background (Big Four or similar) with large or complex clients
