SCM specializes in above‑ and below‑grade high‑pressure piping fabrication and self‑performs field installations with in‑house civil, electrical, and crane divisions. Equipped with advanced welding stations, high‑capacity overhead cranes, and a full mobile fleet, SCM supports projects ranging from new construction to maintenance and turnarounds. Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Accounting role located in Brigden, ON. The team member will handle day‑to‑day accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, recording and posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include using accounting software to process invoices, track expenses, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support payroll and month‑end close processes. The role will also assist with budgeting, financial reporting for management, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Collaboration with project managers, operations, and leadership to provide timely financial information and support decision‑making is an important part of this position. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Statements and Finance for accurate reporting and analysis. Candidates should possess proficiency with Accounting Software and Journal Entries (Accounting) for daily transaction processing and recordkeeping. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support business decisions. Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (e.g., CPA or in progress) is an asset. Experience in construction, industrial, or contracting environments is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines on site. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Working knowledge of relevant accounting standards and basic tax considerations applicable to corporate environments.

Centrally located in Brigden, ON our main fabrication shop boasts over 25,000 square feet of available enclosed and heated floor space. SCM also has a separate 34,000 square feet in our secondary building for tool and material storage as well as an additional 47 acres of secured laydown.

SCM specializes in above and below grade high pressure piping fabrication and is able to self perform field installations with our own Civil, Electrical and Crane divisions. Our main shop is a drive through style with materials entering the front door and a finished product exiting the rear doors. Equipped with two 10 ton and two 15 ton capacity overhead cranes, 20 state of the art welding stations and a workforce with a skill set next to none, there is no project our fabrication shop cannot accomplish.

SCM sets our mobile teams up for success with a fleet of fully equipped welding rigs, semi-trucks, excavators and hydro-vac trucks. Accompanying our mobile fleet we have your lifting requirements met with our full range of cranes up to 250 ton capacities.
