Farm & Commercial Lines Insurance Agent Location: Lindsay, Ontario Reports To: Business Development Manager Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity HTM Insurance is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Farm & Commercial Lines Insurance Agent to join our team. As a trusted representative of our mutual insurance company, you will provide professional insurance advice, sales support, and exceptional service to farm and commercial policyholders. This role is ideal for an insurance professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying coverage needs, and helping protect the businesses, farms, and communities we serve. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop new farm and commercial insurance business through referrals, community involvement, inbound inquiries, and company-generated leads Build strong relationships with prospective and existing policyholders Conduct insurance needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions Prepare quotations, explain coverage options, and provide clear recommendations Identify cross-selling and growth opportunities Work toward individual and team sales objectives while maintaining quality underwriting standards Client Service & Relationship Management Provide proactive service and ongoing support to policyholders Conduct annual reviews for larger accounts to ensure coverage continues to meet changing needs Assist clients with renewals, endorsements, policy updates, and coverage questions Resolve client concerns professionally and efficiently Participate in community events and initiatives that support HTM Insurance’s presence and member relationships Underwriting & Administration Collect and verify risk information for quoting and underwriting decisions Evaluate risks within delegated authority and company guidelines Collaborate with underwriting, claims, inspections, and other departments Review inspection recommendations and assist clients with required follow-up Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and company standards Stay informed on industry trends, marketplace changes, and insurance practices Qualifications Required: Insurance Agent License or RIBO or willing to obtain within 30 days Minimum 5 years of sales experience Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to assess client needs and provide appropriate solutions Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle Preferred Assets: Farm or commercial insurance experience Mutual insurance experience College diploma or university degree CIP designation or working toward CIP CRM designation What We Offer Competitive salary range of $72,000 – $108,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to business growth, client retention, service excellence, and achievement of company objectives Comprehensive benefits package Professional development and industry training opportunities A collaborative, community-focused work environment The opportunity to make a meaningful impact by protecting local members and businesses Why Join HTM Insurance?
