About the role
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician, Reconciliations, on a permanent basis for our Local Co-op Financial Services and Systems team.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare timely and accurate general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations in accordance with established deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries and year end working paper files.
- Draft clear and professional communications to local Co-ops regarding reconciliation details and follow-ups.
- Maintain organized departmental files and perform regular bank account reconciliations.
- Other duties as required.
Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will work closely with other Accounting Technicians who focus on reconciliations and will be part of a larger accounting team. You will report into the Supervisor, Business Accounting and will interact with professionals across the Co-operative Retailing System. Members of this team have the opportunity to exercise independence when troubleshooting and working directly with customers to address accounting discrepancies.

Who you are: You are looking for a career in Finance and:
- Have a high school diploma and one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution. Individuals who have a high school diploma and one year of relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
