About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented professional to join McKesson's Corporate Strategy & Business Development (CSBD) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company's growth trajectory by supporting high-priority strategic initiatives, including market expansion, partnership development, and potential mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth market analysis, developing strategic insights, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization to drive informed decision-making. This position requires a combination of analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to effectively articulate value propositions and influence key stakeholders.

This role is a hybrid position based in Mississauga, requiring at least two days per week on-site, with the remaining days flexible for remote work, depending on team and business needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare, or a related field, with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) strongly preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in strategy, management consulting, healthcare industry roles, or related fields is required, with management consulting experience being highly advantageous. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrated analytical thinking, creativity, and attention to detail are critical to success in this role. Candidates should have a strong understanding of healthcare dynamics, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines are also necessary. Experience in conducting market research, evaluating partnership opportunities, and supporting M&A transactions will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the CSBD and business unit teams in executing strategic projects aimed at strengthening McKesson’s distribution and retail positions. Responsibilities include:

Articulating comprehensive value propositions and integrating physical and digital assets based on patient insights, market data, and internal capabilities. Identifying gaps in the end-to-end patient experience and developing strategies to bridge these gaps, including evaluating potential partners, acquisition targets, or internal growth initiatives. Developing strategic insights to inform leadership decisions and support organizational growth initiatives. Supporting inorganic growth opportunities through market research, due diligence, and transaction support. Conducting external research and data analysis to evaluate market trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behaviors. Managing and executing strategic projects independently, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely completion. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights, build relationships, and influence decision-making processes. Creating professional presentations and reports tailored for internal leadership and external partners. Contributing to the knowledge base of CSBD by sharing expertise and innovative ideas. Establishing yourself as a thought leader within the organization and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Compensation is based on experience, skills, performance, and market conditions, with a base salary range of $99,100 to $132,100.
