About the role

Company Description Canadian Wealth Planners (CWP) is an Ontario-based firm that helps families, professionals, and business owners gain clear, pressure-free understanding of their finances. The team reviews the full financial picture—including protection, retirement, debt, education savings, cash flow, investments, and business owner needs—before making any recommendations. CWP’s process focuses on conversations, not product pitches, starting with a Discovery Call and continuing through strategy, implementation, and ongoing follow-up as clients’ lives evolve. With over 5,000 clients served across more than 10 years, CWP emphasizes plain-language guidance, long-term relationships, and genuine mentorship. Based in Brampton, Ontario, CWP proudly supports clients and advisors across Canada and is actively growing its advisory team. Role Description This full-time Financial Services Associate role is a hybrid position based in Ontario, Canada, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients (virtually and in person) to understand their goals, gathering financial information, and helping prepare holistic financial reviews under guidance from senior advisors. The associate will support the design and explanation of strategies related to protection, retirement planning, education savings, cash flow, debt structure, and investments, using clear, client-friendly language. The role involves proactive follow-up with clients, tracking progress, updating plans as circumstances change, and maintaining accurate records in firm systems. Licensing support, structured mentorship, and ongoing training will be provided, with a focus on building a long-term, professional career path in financial services. Qualifications Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify gaps, and support well-structured client recommendations. Knowledge or coursework in finance and financial services, with interest in protection, retirement, investments, and cash flow planning. Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible terms and build trust with diverse clients. Foundational understanding of cybersecurity practices or comfort working within secure systems to protect client information. Coachability, ambition, and a genuine interest in a licensed financial services career with mentorship and ongoing training. Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is an asset. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate with a team of advisors and support staff. Eligible to work in Canada and willing to pursue required provincial licensing and designations with firm support.
