About the role
Head of Finance Full-time · On-site/Hybrid, Toronto, ON
About the Company Mavrix Knowledge Corporation (formerly Azure Knowledge Corporation) is a Toronto-headquartered market research and data-analytics firm serving blue-chip and Fortune 500 clients across North America, with delivery and R&D operations in the United States and India. The business has grown from roughly CAD 12 million in revenue in 2023 to approximately CAD 19–22 million today, with a 51% gross margin, a zero bad-debt track record, a proprietary data-collection platform (SurveyByte), and a recently completed acquisition. We are entering our next phase of growth — expanded credit facilities, US expansion and potential fundraising — and are looking for a hands-on finance leader to build the financial engine that supports it.
The Role The Head of Finance owns the full finance function end-to-end — from day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll and collections through to financial modelling, banking strategy and investor conversations. This is a rare blended role: equal parts hands-on operator and strategic partner to the owner. You will be the single point of accountability for the company’s financial health, its banking and funding relationships, and the accuracy and timeliness of everything financial. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA who is equally comfortable reconciling a respondent-incentive payout, negotiating with a vendor or a bank, and walking an investor through a five-year model.
