Project & Commercial Administrator – Engineering Consulting (GTA | Flexible Part-Time)

Location: Greater Toronto Area
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings
MECS Engineering Inc. is a growing Canadian engineering consulting company supporting industrial equipment manufacturers, OEMs and EPC organizations across Canada and the United States. We are seeking an experienced, dependable and highly organized Project & Commercial Administrator to support our commercial and project-administration activities. This is a stable, long-term, part-time opportunity requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week initially. The successful candidate must be available for agreed working periods during regular weekday business hours and for occasional in-person meetings in the GTA.
Primary Responsibilities Preparing and coordinating client proposals and commercial documents Preparing invoices and professionally following up on outstanding payments Maintaining project, proposal, purchase order, invoice and payment trackers Monitoring project progress, obtaining updates from the internal team, and following up with clients on outstanding information and action items Coordinating purchase orders, contracts, client onboarding and project records Supporting project scheduling, client communications and general commercial administration
The Ideal Candidate Has relevant experience in project administration or commercial coordination within a professional business environment Has excellent written and verbal English communication skills Is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PDF documentation Is organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information Is available during agreed weekday business hours and for occasional in-person meetings in the GTA
Previous experience in consulting, manufacturing, construction or another technical business environment would be considered an asset.
