About the role
Fiscally is a strategic finance partner for independent creative agencies, providing a fractional finance department solution for founders who appreciate working with firm that gets it. We’re looking for our next Finance Manager to join a team of curious, growth-minded high performers.
If you are ready to apply the rigour gained from your traditional accounting experience to helping ambitious founders and their teams professionalize their finance function and make confident, data-backed decisions, you could be a great fit. For the right person, this work is energizing, impactful, and a clear step toward further career growth.
What You Will Own
Revenue, WIP & Project Accounting. You don’t just run reports. You interpret them and train your team to do the same.
-
Accountable for the revenue recognition and the project accounting across multiple clients. This includes preparing and leading monthly WIP Meetings with confidence, communicating areas of risk on a client or project level and knowing how to clearly articulate what really matters.
-
Review the WIP Report and finalize it on a monthly basis
End-to-End Accounting Control. You fix root causes, not symptoms. And you raise your hand when you don’t know.
-
Understand the full accounting cycle using The Fiscally Way across your pod, which includes an understanding of data flow, workflows and systems.
-
Understand how data flows from transaction to management report and where risk hides.
Controllership & Reporting. You apply materiality with judgment and flag issues early.
-
Perform the Month-End close, which includes reasonability testing on the P&L and balance sheet.
-
Prepare and review the monthly management package. Before submitting to the Finance Director, you’ve ensured it’s both accurate and makes sense based on the client’s business and actual performance.
Cash & Forecasting. You identify risks and opportunities in budget variance and articulate findings to your Finance Director.
-
Conduct cash flow forecasting and management.
-
Collaborate with your Finance Director to develop annual budgets and reforecasts.
Leadership
-
Lead and manage at least two Client Accountants, overseeing the daily workflow.
-
Drive adoption of "The Fiscally Way" - our standardized approach to client service and internal operations.
-
Inspire and mentor junior team members, fostering growth, ownership, and confidence in their contributions.
-
Lead by example, asking questions to challenge assumptions and ensure complete understanding, influencing your team to do the same.
