This role is based out of our London Head Office. Type: Full-time Openings: 1

Your Mission:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will support the Business Controllers and Financial Controller in overseeing the organization's financial activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to strategic financial planning. You will play a key role in month-end and year-end processes, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and the continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting tools that support business decision-making.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

Supporting month-end close activities, including the preparation of financial statements, profit and loss analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules Preparing and reviewing monthly accounting entries, including accruals, intercompany transactions, prepaid expenses, and interest-related entries Collaborating with the Financial and Business Controllers to develop, maintain, and execute financial controls, reporting tools, and key performance indicators Analyzing financial data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities that improve operational and financial performance Assisting with annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, cash management activities, and monitoring customer receivables and supplier accounts Supporting audit, tax filing, compliance reporting, and governmental reporting requirements, including Statistics Canada submissions and monthly remittances Assisting with bi-weekly payroll processing and ensuring compliance with all applicable financial and payroll regulations

This job is for you if you: Have a post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field Hold or are actively pursuing a CPA designation (preferred) Bring 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or financial reporting Have experience with Power BI, JD Edwards, or InvoiceIN (considered an asset) Are highly proficient in Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Have experience preparing financial reports, supporting month-end processes, and working with financial controls Communicate effectively and collaborate well with cross-functional teams Thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines Possess a valid driver's license and are available for occasional travel as required

About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $74,800.00 - $93,500.00 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
