Position Summary We are seeking motivated, entrepreneurial Mortgage Agents who are passionate about helping Canadians make informed mortgage decisions while building a successful business. You will leverage the support, systems, lender relationships, coaching, and marketing resources available through Empirical Edge Mortgage Group and Mortgage Alliance to grow your own client base and referral network.
Key Responsibilities • Meet with clients to assess their financial goals and borrowing needs. • Conduct mortgage consultations and recommend suitable financing solutions. • Educate clients on mortgage products, rates, terms, refinancing, renewals, and investment financing. • Generate new business through referrals, networking, social media, and community involvement. • Build relationships with Realtors®, lawyers, accountants, financial planners, builders, and other referral partners. • Collect, review, and verify documentation required for mortgage applications. • Structure and submit mortgage files while communicating with lenders and underwriters. • Coordinate conditions, approvals, funding, and closing timelines. • Provide exceptional service throughout the mortgage lifecycle and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Maintain compliance with FSRA, FINTRAC, lender and Mortgage Alliance policies.
Qualifications • Valid Ontario Mortgage Agent or Mortgage Broker Licence (or eligibility to obtain one). • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills. • Strong organizational and time-management abilities. • High attention to detail and professionalism. • Comfortable using CRM systems, lender portals, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending, underwriting fundamentals, and regulatory requirements is an asset. • Previous experience in banking, financial services, sales, or real estate is preferred.
