Accounting Manager Woodbridge, ON (On-Site) Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + Benefits
Join a Growing Canadian Manufacturer Our client, a Canadian furniture manufacturer and retailer, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the VP Finance/CFO, you'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across multiple companies while partnering with leadership to support sound financial decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Accountant ready to step into management or an experienced Accounting Manager who enjoys remaining involved in the day-to-day accounting function rather than just managing a team. What You'll Do Financial Accounting & Reporting Lead the month-end and year-end close process Prepare and review financial statements and supporting analysis Review journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with external audits Produce timely financial reporting for leadership Accounting Operations Provide oversight and support for: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable General Ledger Payroll accounting Treasury activities Cash flow reporting Credit & Receivables Monitor customer credit limits and credit risk Review aging reports and collections Approve credit notes Improve cash flow and receivable performance Oversee commissions, rebates, and customer programs Payroll & Compliance Review payroll accounting and reconciliations Ensure accurate government remittances Oversee HST filings Support EHT and WSIB reporting Maintain compliance with internal controls Leadership Mentor and support a small accounting team Improve accounting processes and internal controls Partner with business leaders across the organization Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong full-cycle accounting experience Experience with: Financial reporting Month-end close Payroll oversight Accounts Receivable Credit management Advanced Excel skills ✔ Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) experience
Preferred CPA designation or CPA Candidate Experience working with multiple legal entities Manufacturing experience is an asset Strong process improvement mindset Experience strengthening accounting controls
Success in This Role You'll be successful if you: Deliver accurate month-end financial reporting Improve accounting processes and internal controls Support cash flow management Develop strong relationships across the business Lead by example while mentoring a small accounting team
