About the role

A career as a Senior Director, Product Research and Development at National Bank Investments means playing a key role at the heart of the development of the investment fund offering. In this role, you operate at the center of the strategic decisions shaping the current and future product lineup. Through rigorous analysis and clear recommendations, you contribute to the evolution, coherence, and competitiveness of the existing and future product range, while supporting the adoption and growth of alternative investment solutions across all distribution channels. This position allows you to have a tangible impact on the growth and positioning of our solutions by leading business opportunity analysis and market research initiatives. Your role Define and evolve the product development strategy in alignment with business directions and growth objectives Accelerate research and innovation initiatives by identifying emerging investment themes, new structures, and market opportunities Analyze client needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to guide product development and optimization priorities Design and structure new products or enhancements to existing offerings, including value proposition, positioning, and performance objectives Work closely with internal teams to ensure a coherent and effective go-to-market strategy for developed solutions Maintain continuous strategic monitoring of industry practices, innovation, and evolving client expectations Your team National Bank Investments is a team of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to develop innovative and high-performing investment solutions. Within our sector, you are part of a team reporting to a senior manager. You contribute to delivering innovative investment solutions that help advisors and investors achieve their long-term objectives. In a context of sustained growth, you support the expansion of our expertise in alternative investments—an evolving field that is transforming portfolio management approaches and opening new avenues for value creation. Tools such as the Data Academy, language training, the Harvard Learning Center, as well as coaching and mentoring support, are available to you at all times. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field Professional designations such as CFA, CAIA, or CIM are a strong asset Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in investment product development In-depth knowledge of the investment fund industry in Canada and the United States Strong expertise in alternative investment strategies, including alternative ETFs, hedge funds, and private markets Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
