About the role

Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to the Director, Construction PMO, this position is primary responsible for providing governance, oversight and execution support for construction projects within the assigned region(s), ensuring efficient delivery while maintaining alignment with organizational goals, financial discipline, and operational excellence. All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy Principles. This role will be in management of the Office, Retail or International Portfolios. What will you do? Governance & Portfolio Oversight: Establish and enforce standardized processes, policies, and controls for construction project execution. Oversee the entire portfolio of construction projects, ensuring alignment with Corporate Real Estate strategy and RBC’s broader objectives. Oversee supplier partner PMO, PCO and Operations teams for assigned region(s). Execute project level administration and control in support the assigned region Financial Stewardship: Review charter and budgets, forecasting, and financial reviews to ensure projects adhere to cost targets and benchmarks. Implement robust costing models and benchmarking practices. Review project management fees and associated allocations. Performance & Risk Management: Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and operational efficiency. Proactively monitor risks across the construction portfolio. Manage vendor/contractor performance through structured evaluation frameworks and contractual compliance. Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement. Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable executive reports on project level status, financials, and risks by portfolio. Project Execution Support: Provide hands-on execution support to Integrated Program Delivery teams within the regions support projects. Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and innovation in construction delivery. Foster a culture of best practices and knowledge-sharing across the PMO and project teams. What do you need to succeed? Must have: University degree or equivalent experience in construction management 5+ years’ experience in construction project management in a large matrixed corporate environment Strong knowledge in construction governance oversight, metrics and reporting Strong analytical and execution capabilities Strong client focus and responsiveness to business needs Well-developed communication and presentation skills including executive interaction What’s in it for you?
