Our client, a large, publicly traded global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controller to join their leadership team. This is a highly visible role offering strong career progression within a values-driven, growth-oriented environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, onsite setting, partnering closely with operations and senior leadership to drive performance and continuous improvement. This position is based in Burlington, ON and is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Lead the month-end close and consolidation across multiple entities Prepare and review financial statements, KPIs, and variance analysis Ensure balance sheet integrity and compliance with corporate policies Support audit, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements (Canada & U.S.) FP&A & Business Partnering Partner with operational leaders to support strategic decision-making Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis Evaluate costing, pricing, and capital investments Cash Flow & Working Capital Oversee cash management, AP, and payment cycles Maintain strong controls and deliver accurate cash flow forecasting Leadership & Collaboration Lead and develop the accounting team Foster a high-performance, collaborative onsite culture Drive succession planning and team development Controls & Process Improvement Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements Manufacturing Finance & Systems Own standard costing, cost rolls, and variance analysis Support ERP enhancements (JD Edwards preferred) Partner with operations on inventory, production, and cost optimization Additional Details 10–15% travel across North American plant locations Highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leadership

Qualifications CPA designation 7–10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance Must come from a publicly traded manufacturing organization or large private manufacturing company with revenues of $200M+ Strong expertise in standard costing (required) Strong executive prescence Proven leadership and team management experience Advanced Excel and ERP experience (JD Edwards an asset) Excellent communication, analytical, and business partnering skills Must have concise and clear communication style
