Location: Toronto, Ontario Work arrangement: Hybrid, 1 day a week onsite Contract length: 18 months (2 years), with possibility of extension or FTE conversion Expected start date: Immediate
About the Opportunity: Gigafest is seeking a sharp Business Analyst to drive transformation initiatives within a major banking organization. You'll convert raw data into meaningful business insights, design analytics solutions, and facilitate decision-making across the enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who loves turning complex information into actionable strategy.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization, managing projects, monitoring performance, and ensuring the business gets the insights it needs to make better decisions. Your role will be critical in enhancing operational capabilities and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities: • Convert raw data into meaningful analysis using dashboards and reports • Design, develop, and deploy business analytics solutions • Clean data and monitor key performance indicators • Track team projects and initiatives with detailed weekly updates • Monitor performance metrics and address issues proactively • Gather business requirements from stakeholders • Interpret data and provide ongoing strategic reports • Develop data collection strategies to optimize efficiency and quality • Create comprehensive documentation for analytics and reporting • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and document communications
Must Haves: • 2-3 years of Business Analyst experience • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • Experience with project tracking software (MS Planner, MS Project, or similar) • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Collaboration and team-oriented mindset • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have: • Banking or financial services industry experience • Experience with automation and process implementation • Knowledge of AI and emerging technologies • Experience with data visualization tools
Rate: $38-$48/hour
