About the role
Client Manager Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid)
About Guindi In a profession that's becoming increasingly automated, we believe relationships matter more—not less. That's why we've spent over 40 years combining modern technology with genuinely personal service. Our clients rely on us not just for financial statements, payroll and tax returns, but for advice, strategy, and someone who understands where they're trying to go. Behind the scenes, we're constantly building better systems, improving processes, and finding smarter ways to work so our team can spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time solving interesting problems.
What You'll Do This isn't the kind of role where every day looks the same. You'll work directly with business owners, become someone they trust, and help them through everything from routine year-ends to the occasional "I have a situation..." phone call.
Some of what you'll be doing: Manage a portfolio of privately owned businesses across a variety of industries Build strong relationships with clients and get to know their businesses—not just their financial statements Lead year-end compilation engagements, review financial statements and complete corporate tax filings Answer accounting and tax questions with practical advice clients can actually use Work with partners and managers to keep files moving and clients informed Review work, coach junior team members, and help them continue to develop Look for ways to make our processes a little better each year
What Makes You a Great Fit Technical skills are important, but they aren't enough on their own. The people who do well here enjoy working with clients. They ask questions, like figuring things out, and don't mind picking up the phone when an email won't do.
You'll probably fit in well if you: Enjoy building long-term relationships with clients Can explain technical accounting and tax concepts in plain language Like solving problems and don't get stuck when something unexpected comes up Follow through on your commitments Enjoy working with a team and are happy to help when someone needs it Stay organized, even during busy season Care about doing good work and take pride in getting the details right
Qualifications CPA designation required Approximately 4-6 years of experience in public accounting Strong technical knowledge of accounting and corporate tax Experience managing client relationships and engagements Demonstrated ability to review work and provide guidance to team members Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What We Offer Competitive compensation package Performance bonus opportunities Comprehensive health and dental benefits Flexible hybrid work environment Opportunities for growth and advancement A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your ideas matter A team that values excellence, accountability, and having fun along the way
If you’re someone who loves working with people, solving problems, and becoming a trusted advisor to your clients, we’d love to meet you!
