Your New Role Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Credit & Collections Manager will lead the full Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Accounts Receivable function for the organization. You will oversee a team of five Credit and AR Specialists while managing collections, credit risk, cash application, customer management, reporting, and compliance activities across Canada and the United States.
Key responsibilities include: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 Credit and AR Specialists Manage the full Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash cycle Develop and execute collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt Evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish credit limits, and monitor credit risk exposure Prepare cash flow forecasts, AR reporting, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board Oversee EDC insurance programs and related risk management processes Support onboarding of key customer accounts and ensure accurate customer documentation Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian tax and customer documentation requirements Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the AR function Partner with finance and business leaders on strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects This position is based in Mississauga and operates primarily in-office, with limited work-from-home flexibility throughout the year.
What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess: 7+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections experience 3+ years of people leadership experience managing a Credit, Collections, or AR team Strong experience overseeing the full Order-to-Cash process Proven expertise in credit risk assessment, credit policies, collections, and cash flow management Experience preparing executive-level reporting, forecasts, and financial analysis Knowledge of customer documentation and tax compliance requirements across Canada and the United States Experience managing EDC insurance programs or similar export credit insurance arrangements Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Ability to travel occasionally within the United States
