About the role
We are Vestacy
Vestacy is a standalone company (carved out from Reckitt) with a clear purpose: to transform houses into homes. We are home to some of the world’s most trusted brands — Air Wick, Resolve, Easy-Off and Woolite — helping millions of people care for the spaces they live in every day. Backed by Advent, a leading global private equity firm, we have the freedom to think big and move fast. With almost 3,000 colleagues across 20+ countries, we see every person as a Founder, empowered to make bold decisions and shape what’s next. We care for our company the way you care for your own home: with energy, passion and pride. Here, you will find space to grow, opportunities to lead and the support to thrive. Together, we are building something extraordinary. Finance Our Finance team is not just another department; we're strategic partners and catalysts for change, who use our expertise to drive sustainable growth and create and protect value for Reckitt. With a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and partnership, our inclusive, diverse and energised team breaks down traditional barriers, enabling you to thrive in a dynamic environment where you and your ideas matter. From leveraging insights and analysis to make data-driven decisions - to spearheading sustainable business practices that contribute to consistent and reliable business growth - we are unwaveringly passionate about making a meaningful impact, and always doing the right thing.
About the role The Head of Finance is the lead finance role for our business in Canada — an approximately US$60 million net revenue operation. Reporting to the Finance Director for North America, with a dotted line to the Canada Country Manager, you will be the trusted finance partner to local and regional leadership, providing the insight that supports strategic decisions and helping commercial partners bring our operating model to life. This is a full-function country finance leadership role with a strong commercial finance core, operating in a model where the back office is outsourced. You will own the full profit and loss statement, the relevant balance sheet accounts (substantiation and support rather than reconciliation, which sits with shared services), net working capital, and commercial fixed costs. You will lead all commercial finance aspects across FP&A, trade, marketing and supply, and lead and develop a team of two finance controllers. Back-office and transactional activities are managed through shared services under the North America Controlling Manager (based in the United States), who also holds responsibility for back-office activities in Canada — freeing this role to focus on business partnering, performance and value creation. The Canadian business currently runs on SAP and will transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the next nine months. A dedicated finance team manages the ERP transformation; while the Head of Finance is not responsible for every step of the transition, you will clearly participate in, partner with and steer the ERP finance team in the right direction, representing the needs of the Canadian business and ensuring the design works for local commercial finance. Relevant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with experience transitioning between ERP systems, is a strong plus. You will also help drive the standardization, simplification, automation and harmonization of processes and systems in line with global direction, while ensuring a robust compliance environment consistent with international accounting standards, local regulations and the Group financial control framework. This is a strong learning and development opportunity for an ambitious, curious finance professional who is keen to take ownership, act proactively and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
Business partnering Partner with senior leadership and commercial teams to provide data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making. Act as the key finance partner to sales, marketing and supply chain teams, driving financial accountability across the business. Influence business decisions through robust financial analysis and clear narrative, ensuring profitable growth and sustainable investment.
Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Group requirements. Provide insightful analysis to drive decisions on revenue, margin and cost optimization. Support strategic initiatives, scenario planning and investment decisions through robust financial modelling. Monitor key performance indicators and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations. Deliver a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast.
Trade & revenue management Oversee trade spend analysis, ensuring efficiency and return on investment for promotional activity and discounts. Partner with sales and commercial teams to optimize pricing, trade terms and channel profitability. Ensure accurate accruals and reporting for trade spend, balancing growth with financial discipline. Identify opportunities to enhance margin management and profitability across product categories and channels.
Marketing & brand investment Work closely with the marketing team to evaluate the financial impact of brand investments and campaigns. Provide financial governance over marketing budgets, ensuring spend efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
The experience we're looking for
Professional qualifications & experience Degree in Economics or Finance; an MBA and/or CPA designation is considered a plus. 10+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in commercial finance or FP&A within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Strong functional expertise: excellent understanding of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and the ability to triangulate insight across all three. Proven team management and people development is considered a plus. Experience with SAP ERP is considered a plus; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or transitioning between ERP systems is a strong plus given the upcoming move to Dynamics 365.
Personal attributes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence senior stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp business acumen. Cross-functional business partnering and financial leadership capability. An entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset with curiosity and a positive, can-do attitude. Tenacity and resilience, with the energy and drive to thrive in a rapidly changing environment. The ability to create a structure and environment that enables the team to achieve both short-term goals and long-term objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
Cost optimization & profitability management Identify and implement cost-efficiency initiatives without compromising business growth. Drive margin improvement strategies, balancing pricing, mix and cost levers. Own and steward commercial fixed costs, providing visibility, challenge and control across the cost base.
Net working capital Own net working capital for the Canadian business, driving improvement across receivables, payables and inventory. Monitor and steer customer payments and collections, working with commercial teams to manage overdue accounts and protect cash. Oversee supplier payment terms, balancing supplier relationships with the working capital and cash objectives of the business. Partner with supply chain to optimize inventory levels against service and cash targets.
Leadership & governance Lead and develop a high-performing commercial finance team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement. Own the full P&L, the relevant balance sheet accounts (substantiation and support) and net working capital, ensuring integrity of reporting for the Canadian business. Partner with and steer the dedicated ERP finance team through the transition from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring the solution meets the needs of the Canadian business without owning every step of delivery. Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and reporting standards, working closely with shared services and the North America Controlling Manager, who manages back-office and reconciliation activities.
