This role is for an active vacancy. About the Role We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to handle KEV Group’s payroll and benefits processing and associated functions. The ideal candidate will administer payroll and benefits, prepare reports, ensure legal compliance and be the main point of contact for internal enquiries. Please note that this role is a month to month contract Responsibilities: Payroll Administration Process and manage all aspects of payroll for US and Canadian employees, including calculating hours, calculating deductions, processing new hires and terminations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Process all Canadian and US benefits deductions. Experience setting up new states and being compliant with payroll taxes and regulations. Prepare and maintain accurate and timely payroll records and reports. Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions about payroll and benefits. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including tax and labor laws. Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly. Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits. Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefits programs as well as with benefits enrollments, plan changes and benefit related claims, prepare and conduct benefits meetings. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits enrollment systems, prepare and distribute benefits enrollment materials and document administrative procedures for benefit enrollments. Serve as primary contact with carriers and third-party administrators, responds to benefits inquiries from employees relating to status changes, plan provisions, and other general inquiries. Reconcile bills by producing and balancing to reports to ensure accuracy of billing Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files, maintain group benefits database and update employee records. Requirements and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred At least 2 years of experience in processing US and Canadian payroll and benefits Experience processing payroll in ADP Must be familiar with payroll and benefits taxes and regulations Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll and benefits Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software is a plus Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
