The opportunity DoctorCare is hiring a Medical Billing Assistant to join the Customer Operations team. As our new Medical Billing Assistant, you will support physicians and Medical Billing Specialists by processing claims, maintaining accurate billing records, and resolving routine billing inquiries. This is an excellent opportunity to build expertise in Ontario medical billing while developing your career. You will work with electronic medical records (EMRs), billing systems, and provincial healthcare processes while collaborating with colleagues and customers to resolve questions, identify billing opportunities, and continuously improve how services are delivered. You will review claims for completeness, identify routine discrepancies, escalate complex issues to Medical Billing Specialists, and maintain accurate documentation. Deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will respond to routine customer questions, gather required information, and coordinate with Medical Billing Specialists to ensure timely issue resolution. Identify opportunities to improve outcomes. You will use your analytical skills to investigate billing discrepancies, identify revenue opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams and the Ministry of Health to resolve issues and improve claim outcomes. You will also recommend process improvements that enhance workflows, strengthen service delivery, and continuously improve the experience for both physicians and your colleagues.
