Position Title: Communications Designer (OpenText Exstream CCM)
Reports To: Director, Individual Client and Advisor Experience

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Communication Designer role is a blend of responsibilities that involve technical actions and support management.

In this role you will design & develop communication templates on moderate to complex projects utilizing Equitable's CCM system. Additionally, you will work with various teams and systems to complete projects and engage in document composition and problem solving.

Ideally you will have some work experience in the financial services or insurance industries and be able to fully grasp principles of marrying variable data to dynamic forms. Experience as a subject matter expert with OpenText Exstream is desirable. Preferably OpenText Exstream Technical Certified. Additionally, you will possess familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and Acrobat.

What you will be doing:

• Minimum 5 years of strong technical experience on OpenText Exstream and other CCM solutions. Including the creation, configuration, orchestration and delivery of data driven personalized communications across multiple channels
• Exceptional analytical and time management skills partnered with a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive nature in their approach to all aspects of the job.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

• Has a passion to learn, share and contribute to a highly creative and productive team
• You need to have experience in design and coding solutions for the OpenText Exstream platform.
• You will have experience in independently leading the solution definition and should have hands on experience with the OpenText Exstream composition product.
• You will be responsible for the delivery of all Exstream related efforts (Large Program, Small Enhancements, Support, Escalations etc.)
• You may serve as specialist with expertise in particular technology/industry domain/a process / application / product. The communication designer is also responsible for functional/technical track of the development projects and overall ownership of the technical solution.

• Plans, investigates, and recommends new software tools and related technologies.
• Sets the implementation roadmap for owned assets to support and enhance business outcomes.
• Owns the Exstream communication template roadmap and ensures the delivery of milestones
• Own the quality process to ensure the application remains secure and defect free.
• Performs design & development of communication templates on moderate to complex projects utilizing OpenText Exstream version 20 or higher
• Serves as a communication liaison to bridge gaps and resolve/identify deficiencies in the system.
• Interacts regularly with business partners in order to meet the technical requirements for new initiatives.
• Defines and documents processes to be used by business partners
• Advances the technical health and performance of software.
• Uses monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot and isolate application performance issues.
• Updates system and process documentation, produces user guides, and diagrams as needed.
