Your Impact at Empire

The Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for the in-process acquisitions as well as portfolio management analysis for all North American divisions of Empire to determine returns of investments as it relates to margins, profitability, and impacts to the business plans. This includes providing support with division-related acquisitions in process and portfolio management activities, due diligence, and development and application of standard corporate modeling tools, proformas, and templates.

This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON.

What We Are Looking for:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or relevant field of study
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience within real estate financial analysis and/or land acquisition
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel formulas and functions

Bonus If You Have These Skills:

  • Low Rise and/or High Rise residential analysis with a keen interest in markets exploration and acquisitions
  • Experience with S&P Capital IQ and PowerBI

What You'll Be Doing Each Day

  • Complete in-depth analysis of division in-process acquisitions measuring the return on investment, margins, and profitability
  • Analyze financial information, generate reports and presentations to advise on the decision making process of a division's investment or financing of land acquisitions and/or new products and projects
  • Partner with divisions on all land acquisition targets, advising teams on the initial land and performance evaluation, reviewing assets and completing proformas
  • Own the evaluation and modelling of new division product development and own the division in-process acquisition and new product due diligence process, detailing and tracking deliverable
  • Provide support for the investigation, analysis, and due diligence of new homebuilder acquisition/ new market entry opportunities
