The Treasury Analyst is responsible for cash reporting, forecasting and management and foreign currency transactions and accounting.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Monitor and manage daily corporate liquidity (cash inflows and outflows) and corresponding movement of cash flows and wire transfers
  • Prepare and analyze weekly cash forecasts on a rolling 12 month basis, including updating the forecast for weekly banking activity and monitor/investigate variances between forecasted and actual results to ensure sufficient liquidity position
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups including AP/AR, Buying Office, Supply Chain and others to confirm short-term funding requirements and model cash flow impact of long-term trends and distribution forecasts
  • Maintain daily FX rates in SAP
  • Perform daily bank clearing for in SAP for all bank accounts to ensure transactions are appropriately recorded in financial statements
  • Prepare treasury related month-end journal entries in SAP including bank fees, FX gains/losses and interest income/expenses
  • Perform monthly bank and tender reconciliations to ensure payment accuracy and completeness, identifying and investigating any irregularities or exceptional items
  • Ensure proper accounting for foreign currency transactions, balances and revaluations; perform associated analytics
  • Management of foreign exchange purchases and contracts
  • Oversee and monitor the cash transaction process, including maintaining effective controls around all banking transactions and systems
  • Prepare quarterly financial treasury compliance reporting
  • Prepare semi-annual foreign currency buying rate forecast for use by the Buying team to minimize future foreign exchange exposures
  • Identify potential improvements for current cash management and treasury processes and assist with testing and implementation of SAP changes
  • Review and maintain administrative permissions, access rights and signing authorities for bank accounts as required and present to management on a quarterly basis
  • Support external auditors as required during financial statement audits
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis, reports, and special projects as necessary

The ideal candidate:

  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accountancy designation (CPA) or Certified Treasury Professional
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience required
  • Advanced SAP skills including FEBAN knowledge/use required
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Proficient in remaining Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player
  • Confident and effective communication (written & verbal)
  • Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
  • Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
