Senior Manager RBC Connect Lead - Gft

What is the opportunity?

Join the IDEA (Innovation, Digital, Expertise & Upskilling, Architecture) team in GFT (Global Functions Technology). In this role, you will ensure the continued success of one of our flagship products, RBC Connect, and help reimagine collaboration for a hybrid workplace.

Global Functions Technology is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

We are hiring for Senior Manager, RBC Connect Lead within IDEA (Innovation, Digital, Expertise & Upskilling, Architecture). We partner with teams from across RBC in order to help them translate ideas into digital tools that help RBCers get stuff done. The Senior Manager, RBC Connect Lead will spearhead RBC's exploration into the latest and greatest collaboration tools. Your strategic mindset, passion for innovation, and strong communication skills will position you for success in this high-impact role.

What will you do?

• Take a leading role in defining the future of collaboration at RBC

• Stay up to date on Jive capabilities and explore other competitive options on an annual basis

• Define and create the future of RBC Connect

• Be the spokesperson for RBC Connect, searching out new use cases and vetting new functionality based on the needs/wants of the enterprise

• Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners; collaborate with various groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes

• Coordinate with the various teams of DWS (technical, communications, etc.) and with our vendors

• Support GFTs presence on RBC Connect, including initiatives related to GFT Upskilling (hosting workshops, recommending curricula, etc.)

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset who can see the big-picture, and can translate this to functional product development.

• Experience with collaboration platforms (Jive, Yammer, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization skills, and deal with ambiguous problems while adhering to delivery excellence among tight timelines

• Strong relationship management skills with impact and influence ability among stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills

Nice-to-have:

• Experience presenting to executive-level audiences

• Experience in basic usage across a broad spectrum of technologies (including mobile)

• Bilingual English/French
