Job Title: Senior Audit Associate
Location: Toronto Office, Hybrid

Your opportunity


Work closely with Managers and Partners on audit, client service and review engagements. Review client files to understand businesses and develop strong technical audit skills.


Your major responsibilities


  • Lead planning meetings, prepare budgets and direct small teams during fieldwork
  • Build client relationships and resolve year end planning issues directly with clients
  • Coach and mentor Associates and Experienced Associates
  • Identify, research and prepare preliminary conclusions on complex accounting issues with engagement Manager/Partner
  • Plan, execute and complete audit engagements through to completion including all reviews, Q/C Tax
  • Prepares WIP analysis post engagement to ensure excess time and procedures can be updated for future engagements
  • Compiles management letter points based on identified control deficiencies or improvement items
  • Prepares Financial Statement with full note disclosure with minimal support
  • Manage timeline and budget for review and audit engagements
  • Prepare financial statements including customizing note disclosure


What we look for


  • CPA designation in progress
  • Completion of a Bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce or Business
  • Three (3) years experience with a public accounting firm focused on tax or accounting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep
  • Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
