About the role

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Manager Finance, your role will significantly impact the creation of synergies within the Finance Operations function. You will provide strategic guidance on financial operational projects and serve as the primary liaison between various internal and external stakeholders.

As a key member of the Finance management team, the candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with Banks, and Credit card processors, as well as driving transformation initiatives to support our financial objectives. Autonomy, along with strong communication and organizational skills, are essential for success in this role. Additionally, you will supervise, coach, and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

What you’ll do here:

  • Responsible for overseeing operations ensuring accepted policies and procedures are adhered to, and that any fraud and risk to the organization is mitigated.

  • Oversee bank account structures for operational efficiency and compliance, including opening and closing of accounts & updates to signing authorities.

  • Responsible for leading and supporting various operational projects.

  • Assist in managing bank and credit card relationships, negotiating service agreements to ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Review and refresh of internal control policies, procedures and the business continuity plan.

  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations.

  • Manage and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

  • CPA – is required

  • Minimum 5 years experience leading an operations team with a large publicly traded company

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and handle ambiguity

  • Strong knowledge of banking products and operations

  • Organized self-starter, with a customer service focus and proven ability to manage a team and complex tasks

  • Knowledge of Oracle would be an asset
