Now Hiring: Cash Management Officer (12 Months contract)

To manage Dividend payment and re-investment plans for a designated number of Corporate Clients and their security holders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dividend payment process and DRIP plans of all assigned corporate clients; interpret plan guidelines; inform management of developments or changes in plan administration.

  • Process dividend payments and balance funds, share amounts, and tax information of plan accounts.

  • Set up new plan participants on the system; perform account enrollments, withdrawals, and terminations; input and balance optional cash contributions.

  • Process investment data share buys on the system.

  • Prepare summaries with details of shares purchased for corporate clients.

  • Generate production of statements; ensure statements are produced on schedule, inspect output for accuracy, authorize and release statements for mailing.

  • Research and respond to requests for information from Call Centre staff and handle correspondence regarding plans.

  • Keep abreast of legislation and proposed changes in legislation as it pertains to re-investment.

  • Maintain and provide weekly/monthly statistics for fee and performance reporting purposes.

  • Purchase and sell shares on the market on behalf of clients and/or security holders.

  • Issue cheques representing the proceeds from the sale/termination of shares.

  • Prepare and mail reject letters, certificates/cheques to shareholders.

  • Monitor NSF from cash contributions and deposit wires from clients.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage onBase scanning and admin assignment activity

  • Support team's regular mailing activities

  • Process Optional cash payments and AML checking

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Must Have (s):

  • 2 years or more experience in a similar role

  • College diploma or university degree, or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external clients

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills

  • Poised, works well under pressure and accomplishing short- and long-term deadlines with a heavy workload

Nice Have (s):

  • Financial services industry experience, an asset
