How you'll make an impact

  • Build and maintain excellent rapport with our clients and insurance providers
  • Assist clients with their day to day servicing needs which can include escalated claim inquiries from plan administrators and owners (life, disability, critical illness, health, dental, travel, etc.)
  • Follow up with insurance providers for timely completion of service requests
  • Provide relevant industry information to clients and prepare employer and employee communication memos
  • Maintain client information (CRM, client files)
  • Research and participate in webinars to build and maintain group benefit knowledge
  • Engage other team members including the Benefits Consultant as complex client situations arise
  • Answer telephone inquiries and respond promptly and professionally to email
  • Exercise the utmost confidentiality in receiving information from clients
  • Collaborate with client service colleagues throughout our branch to continuously improve our client service deliverables
  • Complete ad hoc projects and duties as required

About you

  • Post-secondary graduate from an accredited college or university degree or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced professional environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and best practices (not required but an asset)
  • Written and verbal bilingualism (English/French) considered a strongly regarded asset
  • GBA or CEBS certification considered an asset
