What is the opportunity?

Corporate Treasury is responsible for management of capital, liquidity, term funding, and interest rate risk in the banking book. In accordance with this mandate, Corporate Treasury plays a key role in recovery and resolution planning. The successful candidate will help support maintenance and ongoing advancement of recovery and resolution plans (RRP), and operational readiness.

In addition to playing a key role in recovery and resolution planning, the successful candidate would also provide support of automated tools and processes.

What will you do?

  • Assist the Director and Managing Director deliver Corporate Treasury's contributions to Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRP)
  • Support the advancement of recovery and resolution planning by remaining abreast of relevant regulatory guidance and performing research on crisis case studies to identify lessons learned and implications for crisis management
  • Operate and lead the enhancement of automated tools and processes used to generate augmented balance sheet and other data for use in stress scenario modelling, reporting and analysis
  • Lead the estimation, modeling, and assessment of the impact of stress scenarios on regulatory capital, leverage and total loss absorbing capital (TLAC) metrics at the consolidated and legal entity levels; role involves coordinating process for sourcing stress parameters and other inputs provided by other RRP workstreams and internal partners, and maintaining related documentation
  • Work jointly with SMEs to design, test and maintain enhancements to RRP data and models, and other automated management and reporting tools
  • Assist in planning, executing and documenting RRP tests involving Corporate Treasury capabilities
  • Draft presentations and briefing materials to management, governance committees, the Board and regulators

What you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Post-secondary education
  • 5+ years of banking experience in Finance, Accounting, Risk and/or Corporate Treasury
  • Understanding of consolidated and legal entity balance sheets, income statements and EPM
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships
  • Demonstrated time management skills, ability to prioritize competing deliverables, and to plan and coordinate projects
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with an aptitude for preparing clear and concise documentation in a timely manner
  • Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiar with Python/VBA, Tableau, SQL
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations

Nice to Have

  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory guidance and metrics
  • Professional designation (CPA/CMA, CFA) and/or MBA
