YOUR IMPACT

Joining OpenText as the Vice President, Finance M&A means stepping into a role with significant influence and visibility. You'll spearhead financial leadership throughout the deal lifecycle, driving key initiatives and building strong relationships across various functions.


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

• Lead the Finance M&A and Integration teams, providing overall financial leadership from diligence to close and post-close integration activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including corporate development, accounting, tax, treasury, legal, and operations to drive M&A and post-close integration initiatives.
• Manage a team of 7-8 professionals.

Diligence to Close

• Represent all finance functions during the diligence process, evaluating financial merits and identifying potential risks.
• Review definitive agreements, support net working capital negotiations, and oversee transition service agreements.

Post Close Integration of Finance & Reporting Activities

• Complete purchase price accounting and lead the transition to US GAAP accounting standards.

• Manage the integration of acquired company's financial results into SAP for consolidated reporting.

• Act as a key point of contact with external auditors and professional service advisors.

Legal Entity Rationalization

• Support financial aspects of post-acquisition legal entity rationalization projects.

• Lead preparation of legal entity valuations for statutory mergers or liquidations.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in M&A and valuation roles, preferably in the technology sector.

• Accounting designation required, preference for CPA, CA, or US CPA.

• CBV or similar valuation designation preferred.

• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting preferred.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with high attention to detail.
