The Opportunity
The Senior Accountant (SA) will work with the corporate accounting function to support the various corporate accounting, consolidation, internal reporting, and analysis functions. The SA will be an integral part of the accounting cycle, providing support to the Global Finance team, and assisting in accounting and financial reporting activities. The SA will be involved in various projects supporting the function as a whole.

You Are Great At
• Assist with the monthly close process:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting packages including analysis of significant balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and trends to ensure the accuracy of consolidated results.
• Perform an analytical review of period-end financial results.
• Assemble documentation to support analytical reviews.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and promote best practices with Accounting Services to ensure proper accounting and controls are in place.
• Prepare/review and upload journal entries.
• Research and outline accounting standard changes and provide reports on findings for future accounting pronouncements as applicable including recommended next steps.
• Provide support to other finance teams and the business as required to address financial matters & questions as applicable.
• Provide support to various project leaders as required in reaching key project milestones.
• Maintaining the Blackline tasks module and reporting on month-end close deliverables
• Develop custom reports and provide internal reporting to the finance leadership team using various internal systems and automated tools, including SAP, BPC BW, and Blackline, and
• Participate in global finance projects
• Projects include but are not limited to system automation, process improvements around the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes, chart of accounts rationalization, and internal reporting development
• Assist in the development of project plans
• Leadership role in managing project milestones and providing project leaders with timely status reports

What It Takes
• University Degree (preference for finance/accounting focus)
• CPA designation (or equivalent) required
• 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills
• Must be meticulous and detail-oriented
• Capable of working with minimal supervision, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of accounting ERP systems is an asset
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and willing to take initiative and learn
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• An analytical mindset
