About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting at our Group Office in Brampton, ON.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial close process including:
o Review, consolidate & distribute reports to various levels of management
o Reconcile & analyze key financial statement accounts
o Prepare and maintain monthly consolidation journal entries
o Intercompany reconciliations and validation checks
o Liaise with multiple reporting units to resolve financial reporting issues
• Support quarterly & annual finance presentation preparations (incl. Budgets & Forecasts)
• Respond to Magna head office inquiries and projects as needed
• Create reports and provide analysis of various financial data for internal/external users
• Support groups/divisions regarding inquiries related to financial reporting
• Participate in the review and improvement of internal processes
• Research and assist with the rollout of new company/accounting policies
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting requirements

Who we are looking for

• Bachelors degree in Finance
• Enrollment/Completion of a CPA designation preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing organization is an asset
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and tight timelines
• Strong analytical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills as candidate will be required to liaise within several levels of the organization across various countries and time zones
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other financial applications an asset
