How You'll Perform the Role
This role will be a key member of the Finance team based in Brampton and will work closely with Sales, Pricing, IT, as well as the Plant and Warehouse teams, and report to the Financial Controller
Principal Job Duties
Analyse financial statements and provide commentaries to explain the variances versus the budget and forecasts.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Participate in the month-end and year-end processes.
Work with sales and pricing teams to manage the monthly sales deductions.
Review and update the accrual process for customer rebates.
Work with pricing and tooling teams to manage the tooling cost amortization.
Participate in the budget process for SG&A and other fixed plant costs.
Support the annual physical inventory, year-end audits, and data collection for tax returns and government audits.
Provide backup for other finance functions as needed.
Respond to inquiries from head office and internal customers.
Ensure that a working system of internal controls is utilized to maintain the integrity of the accounting system and be SOX compliant.
What We Need From You
Working towards CPA certification
Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with CMS or other fully integrated ERP system.
Experience with reporting tools such as Hyperion or similar systems
Hands on, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to respond quickly.
Advanced Excel report creation capabilities, and overall strong system skills.
Team player with above average oral/written communication
