About the role

The role will report to the Business Operations organization, with the responsibility for providing financial support to assigned programs.
Dependent upon the size and complexity of the program(s) some of the responsibilities are:

  • Ensure adherence to external and internal Financial and Program Performance Management requirements that fall within the Program Finance area of responsibility;
  • Support the Program Business rhythm on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Support Senior analysts and the PM in the development of required command media and in the establishment of critical structures that will be used to manage and report on the program, such as the Work Breakdown Structure mapped to the SAP and Program Toolsets;
  • Support Senior analysts in the Establishment and maintenance of required program logs, such as the Budget Baseline log;
  • Support the PM team in the development of Estimates to Complete, and ensure adherence to the program's Change process and thresholds using established guidelines;
  • Support the PM team to analyze and forecast financial performance including the development of monthly outlooks or forecasts and analysis of deviations from annual Outlooks and Long Range Plan forecasts;
  • Prepare invoices for customer billings on a monthly and/or as required basis

What you bring to the role

  • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, or Business Administration;
  • 1-3 years of employment in financial administration or financial analysis roles;
  • Demonstrable understanding and application of basic accounting principles in the workplace;

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Access is an asset;
  • The position requires close attention to detail, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to multi task and meet sometimes conflicting deadlines.
