As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of our finance team supporting our Refining & Supply Operations. Your focus will be on providing management reporting for business leaders including our Chief Financial Officer. You will support financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting and evaluate and interpret financial results. You will provide value added analysis, and comfortably communicate to a variety of audiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to our business operations and finance leadership.
  • Responsible for preparation of forecasts and annual business plan through regular engagement with stakeholders.
  • Partner with operations to improve processes for forecasting, budgeting and in-depth ad hoc analysis.
  • Financial and operational stewardship reporting and analysis.
  • Produce and support quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Ad-hoc analyses as required.
  • Provide informal leadership, guidance and coaching to analysts.

Your Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to maintain good working relationship and partner well with operations and senior leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Your Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Professional designation such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in finance or accounting.
  • Experience in Cognos/TM1 is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial budgeting, planning, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes.
