As the Investment Funds Advisor, you are responsible for servicing and growing PH&N's direct to investor distribution business by utilizing your superb Mutual Funds knowledge to provide advice to a variety of investors. Your primary tool of communication will be dealing with your client base over the phone, with occasional email correspondence and in rare situations in-person meetings. What will you do?

  • Providing investment advice to all existing and prospective clients over the phone

  • Analyzing data to gain an understanding of the client's goals and objectives

  • Recommend an appropriate mix of funds, and explain why they are the most appropriate funds for each particular client

  • Provide information pertinent to a wide range of financial planning concepts including tax, estates, retirement planning, etc.

  • Accept trade instructions over the phone while adhering to all RBC compliance and regulatory requirements, action trades as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Investment Funds in Canada, ( IFIC ) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC), licensed for at least 1 year

  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience selling Mutual Funds

  • Ability to handle large client volumes and clearly communicate complex investment strategies

  • Ability to work autonomously

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual French, written and spoken is a strong preference

  • Financial Planning Designation (PFP or CFP)

  • Completion of Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM)

The expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 to $85,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
