You will be responsible for the operational leadership for your assigned region, wealth planning operations and administration in line with Prospera’s strategic plan. You will develop and execute strategies to build a highly engaged and collaborative team of Investment Advisors and Specialists. You will champion excellent member experience and tailored wealth planning solutions and contribute to generating sustainable profitability for Prospera Credit union. You will also support is role will also support the Vice President, Wealth Planning in all aspects of the credit union’s wealth planning practice; and provide input and recommendations for initiatives aimed to enhance member experience, revenues, and the compliance framework.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership, coaching and support to a team of investment specialists and advisors to deliver the vision, values, and commitments of Prospera Credit Union.
  • Oversee the Wealth team's compensation programs and ensures that they are in alignment with the corporate strategy and attract and retain talent in the team.
  • Support the VP, Wealth Planning with the execution of the wealth strategy and Annual Operating Plan, and manages vendor and supplier relationships, compliance, and platform management.
  • Provide support to the VP, Wealth Planning in special projects, committees pertaining to wealth operations or organizational initiatives and provides strategic expertise.
  • Develop and monitor proactive action plans to retain existing members/clients and develop new relationships with potential members/clients.
  • Work closely with other business leaders to maintain and grow cross business referrals across Prospera.
  • Promote a member-centric culture while managing the risk appetite of the organization.
  • Execute the wealth planning strategy with a deeper understanding of our members and the market.

What You Bring

For our role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • 7- 10 years of expertise in the wealth industry; licensed in either IIROC or MFDA, compliance and financial planning and experience in reviewing budgets and key metrics.
  • 2+ years of people leadership expertise having coached and managed teams successfully.
  • Strong planning or investment advising expertise and insurance experience.
  • Excellent experience in change management and adaptability and likes bringing new ideas.
  • Exceptional relationship management and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to influence.
  • Demonstrated communication skills including public speaking and facilitation ability.
  • Prove ability to influence others with strong relationship management skills, including building and maintaining a range of effective internal and external business relationships and networks.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality advice results, managing risk and meeting deadlines.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, and eager to take on new challenges.

Salary: $124,200.00 to $151,800.00 per annum (Actual salary offered will be determined based on education, experience, and internal equity).
