We are currently seeking a Commercial Lending Administrator to join our team.

The Commercial Lending Administrator (CLA) is responsible for providing day-to-day administration support for FW commercial lending division and ensuring commercial lending transactions and security management are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is the key "gatekeeper" for credit and operational risk management ensuring that commercial loan applications and due diligence are correct prior to funding and ensuring the coding information is entered in the banking system correctly. The CLA is differentiated from a Retail Lending Administrator based on complexity, type and size of loans administered.

Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day

  1. Process Control: Ensures procedures, processes, systems and controls are adhered to and completes efficient processing of transactions while optimizing service delivery and mitigating risk. Ensures all department processes are completed within established quality and service standards.
  2. Commercial Loans: Performs administrative tasks related to setting up and advancing commercial loans and prepares required documentation for credit and mortgage transactions; verifies registers, renews, discharges and administers all required security and searches. Reviews out of order and watch list, as required; processes draws and verifies funding disbursements; generates loan security; registers and maintains personal property security assignments (PPSA) and other duties, as required. Ensures any deficiencies are detected, tracked, and resolved effectively.
  3. Administrative Support: Processes and inputs all loan renewals/extensions for commercial mortgages and letters of credit and follows up on missing documentation. Processes margining requests for commercial lines of credit. Provides general administrative support, including communicating with solicitors issuing renewal letters, and tracking annual review dates and receipt of financial statements
  4. Portfolio Support: Monitors a portfolio of commercial accounts for compliance to terms and conditions; monitors lines of credit and recommends revisions to credit limits; maintains security in good order and follows up with clients as required. Completes or assists with annual review process for assigned clients.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, certificate in a related field preferred
  • 2 years' experience in a loan and/or securities administration role
  • Foundational lending experience is an asset
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated effective time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Proven effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with computer software programs e.g. MS Office
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $42,400 - $52,300
