Broad Function
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Regional Controller assists in directing the principles, practices and procedures for corporate accounting within the Company. This position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity in reconciliations, journal close, G/L close, and consolidation of financial statements

Essential Functions
  • Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
  • Ensure accounting team complies with Generally Applied Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Review and approve monthly financial statements
  • Review and approve journal entries, including monthly accruals
  • Manages and review monthly balance sheet account analysis
  • Explain financial variances
  • Review monthly activity in the general ledger
  • Manage all fixed asset transactions
  • Review corporate legal entities for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for Company Management and external parties
  • Prepare reports and schedules for external audits, including variance analysis
  • Assess, coach, develop, and mentor personnel

Working Conditions
  • Working indoors in an office environment

Education & Experience
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years' experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Proficient in Managing Processes, Financial Software, Audit, Accounting, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information, Performance Management.
  • Leadership experience in training, motivating, and developing employees preferred
