The Opportunity

South Bow is seeking an Analyst to assist with Treasury, Finance and Pension Asset Management. This individual has proven skills, competencies, and capacity to successfully support the Finance and Treasury team in cash management, foreign exchange and interest rate management, finance and pension asset management. If you are passionate about Treasury and Finance, detail-oriented, results-driven and keen to be part of a dynamic team, this role is ideal for you.

What you'll do

  • Support day to day Canadian and U.S. cash operations including but not limited to cash forecasting, daily cash positioning, creation and approval of payments, bank administration, monitoring and investigating bank account activity, letters of credit and intercompany loans
  • Recommend and execute investment and short-term borrowing transactions
  • Recommend and execute interest rate and foreign exchange transactions and hedges
  • Support pension asset management of various pension plans and trusts in Canada and the U.S., including related governance, administration and reporting
  • Support financing transactions including bond, equity, bank and credit facility transactions, including commercial and administrative aspects of corporate finance
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • System testing and set up, including supporting the transition to a new ERP
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, processes and controls for South Bow
  • Collaborate, communicate and maintain strong relationships with many different internal and external groups (risk management, accounting, tax, human resources, legal, banks, investment managers, pension service providers) as required to deliver results
  • Cross-train and assist with ad hoc projects across the CFO group as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant Undergraduate degree (Business, Finance, Economics, etc.)
  • Minimum of Five (5) years' progressive, related experience in Treasury
  • Related professional designation (CFA, CPA, CTP)
  • Strong financial acumen
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progression towards CFA, CBV and / or CPA designation(s) would be preferred but is not required.
