Senior Operations Manager

The Senior Operations Manager oversees the operational and structural framework of the division, focusing on process optimization, operational reporting, and vendor management. This leadership role is essential for identifying operational gaps, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the division's activities align with organizational objectives.

  • A minimum ten years in a managerial role overseeing multiple functions in the construction industry.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or technical diploma
  • MBA, CFA, CPA an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of the local home building industry, including financial metrics, operational metrics, and competitive analysis.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

What will you do?
  • Understand the organizational structure and ERP system to identify operational gaps.
  • Lead operational reporting and the execution of vendor agreements, focusing on efficiency and compliance.
  • Mentor direct reports, develop a succession plan, and identify future leaders within the organization.
  • Provide a rolling 12-month forecast of sales, construction starts, and closings based on operational performance.
  • Chair divisional leadership meetings to enhance operational capabilities and development potential.
  • Develop divisional processes to mitigate risks, support growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage forecasting for materials, labor, and project costs in alignment with goals.
  • Handle signatory responsibilities for vendor contracts, ensuring budgetary and project specifications compliance.
  • Support the Vice President with hiring, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner on financial management and capital allocation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
