The Opportunity

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is currently looking for individuals who are interested in teaching the next generation of professionals in their field. We are currently seeking applicants who are interested in future Instructor opportunities. We offer various courses during the day (Monday-Friday, between 8AM-6PM). Future opportunities are casual hourly roles where the hours per week may vary.

Areas of Expertise
- Intercultural Communication

The Role

    • Deliver blended intercultural training workshops to faculty and students
    • Review and comment on participants’ reflective writing submissions
    • Evaluate participants’ final assignment using rubric provided
    • Provide information and strategies for building intercultural competence in post-secondary settings like SAIT
    • Answer participants’ questions about their evolving intercultural understanding
    • Research and provide further reading resources to participants if requested
    • Provide regular updates to the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
    • Attend any scheduled debrief meetings with the Office of EDI

Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum bachelor degree in education, communication studies, or applied linguistics
    • Minimum five years of experience teaching adult learners in diverse, multicultural classrooms
    • Minimum 2 years of experience coaching and mentoring students and faculty in the area of intercultural competence development
