Full-Stack Developer - AI First Banking Solutions

Build AI products that banks actually use. yPilot is an award-winning AI and fintech startup building secure, banking-grade software for banks and credit unions. Our flagship platform, ComplyPilot, is used by more than 60 financial institutions to automate regulatory research, compliance workflows, policy analysis, and other complex banking processes. We’re looking for a strong Software Engineer who wants to build real AI products, own meaningful parts of the stack, and help shape a growing platform. THE ROLE This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership. You’ll design, build, ship, and improve production software across React, Python, AWS, APIs, databases, and LLMs. We operate as an AI-first engineering team. Claude Code, Codex, and other AI development tools are part of our daily workflow for development, testing, debugging, refactoring, and technical problem-solving. We’re looking for someone who can move quickly with AI while maintaining strong engineering judgment, security, and code quality. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Own features from design through development, deployment, and production • Build AI-powered applications, workflows, and automation • Develop LLM, RAG, and agentic capabilities • Build secure multi-tenant SaaS systems, APIs, integrations, and data services • Work across frontend, backend, cloud, and AI layers • Contribute to technical and architecture decisions • Use AI coding tools extensively to accelerate development • Review code and help strengthen engineering practices • Mentor less experienced developers as the team grows OUR STACK • Frontend: React, TypeScript, Material UI • Backend: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy • Cloud: AWS, Docker, serverless infrastructure, CI/CD • AI: LLMs, RAG, vector databases, Amazon Bedrock, Claude Code, Codex WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • 5+ years of professional software development experience • Strong full-stack experience building production applications • Strong experience in Python/backend or React/frontend, with the ability to work across both • Experience designing APIs, data models, and scalable systems • Strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals • Ability to take an ambiguous problem from idea to production • Comfortable working in an AI-native development environment • Able to use AI tools effectively without blindly accepting generated code Experience with AWS, RAG, LangChain, or vector databases is a plus. You don’t need years of AI experience, but you should have a solid foundation in AI and be highly motivated to build with modern LLM technologies.
